Mail

What is e-mail and why do I need it in my store?

Since you're looking at this on the internet you probably have a pretty good idea about what e-mail is.  However, most people don't understand how useful e-mail can be in your store.  There are basically two different ways that Cruise uses e-mail.

1)  Simple e-mail from one employee to another.  This is where you send a message to Joe saying that you need to talk to him about his health insurance.  Or you get a message from Kim saying that you are out of literature about insulate steel doors.

Think about how many times a day you leave a message for someone written on some scrap of paper.  Sometimes you might even put it on their chair or their computer monitor to make sure they see it!  With Cruise your guaranteed they see it.  We've made it easy.

2)  System mail from the Cruise system telling you something has happened that you might want to act upon.  This is an unbelievably powerful tool that most people don't understand until after they've used Cruise for a while.  You no longer have to run reports to catch problems like low-margins, Cruise will mail them to you automatically when they happen - not at the end of the day or month.

Many of our customers now say they manage more by system mail than by any other tool we offer.  It's easy because it's automatic.

  • When someone returns a special order door you get system mail telling you about it.
  • When someone tries to cancel a special order sales order you get system mail telling you about it.
  • When someone sells a product that we don't have in stock system mail tells you about it.
  • When your special order for your biggest customer arrives system mail tells you about it.
  • When one of your yard workers worked a very long day system mail tells you about it.
  • When a special order for your biggest customer that was due today didn't show up system mail tells you about it.

In short, system mail is constantly watching your operation making sure that you know about problems and opportunities as soon as they arise.
